Outline of Play

Robert Caplan and his wife are entertaining her brother and sister-in-law, Olwen Peel and Charles Stanton - all of whom are associated with Robert in a publishing business.

Because Robert insists on uncovering the truth about his brother Martin's "suicide", many unpalatable revelations ensue. Before, he had had good memories of Martin, a wife who seemed to good for him, two partners he liked and respected and a girl he could idealise.

Now he finds Martin was an obscene lunatic whom his wife adored, one of his partners was a cheating thief, the other, a hysterical young pervert, and the girl was a slut.

His disillusionment drives him to shoot himself and at this point the opening scene is repeated, but this time they bypass the Dangerous Corner.
